rEPRESENTATION

As a young person, Jeeva knows exactly what it's like to feel like your elected officials don't actually represent your values. That's why she wants to ensure that she's a voice for everyone in Parker. On issues like the coronavirus and RTD, our current town government has chosen to put their own partisan beliefs above the wishes of Parker's residents.

But Jeeva believes that we can find real solutions to the problems we face when elected officials are willing to listen. Public office should be about serving the people who voted for you. Plain and simple.

TRANSPORTATION + INFRASTRUCTURE

Jeeva’s plan to increase infrastructure and accessibility will make it easier for our students to get to classes, for our workers to get to work, and for all Parker residents to get around town. Our current town council believes the best course of action is to abandon our affiliation with RTD, sending tens of millions of dollars down the drain and destroying some of our most affordable options for transportation. The reality is that public transit is an engine of economic growth and opportunity. Jeeva wants to build a strong relationship with RTD to promote adequate means of transportation, reducing costs, expanding service, and improving the value of our town.

COVID-19 RELIEF

Jeeva is the only candidate in this race with a public plan to address the pandemic. In addition to expanding vaccination centers in Parker, Jeeva is dedicated to working directly with our small businesses to give them the support they need as our town builds back after COVID-19. By encouraging local participation in CDPHE's 5-Star program and helping Parker access the more than $50 million allocated for struggling businesses in the American Rescue Plan, we can shelter the incomes of small business owners, protect the jobs of workers, and recover from our current economic crisis, together.

Preserving parker

Jeeva believes that we have to be willing to invest in our town's future. With over 80% of Parker's land allotted for development, we have to be smart about how, where, and why we choose to build. We can find ways to invest in economic development and attainable housing while still working to preserve our Main Street, beautiful mountain views, and small-town spirit.

And when it comes to water, we have to promote long-term solutions. In partnership with our water district and county government, we can bolster technologies like Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) to ensure that we're using the resources we have to the best of our ability.

With intelligent and thoughtful policy, we can build a Parker that's more sustainable and

more affordable for generations to come.

MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is a personal issue for Jeeva. With close friends and family members who have been deeply impacted by mental illness, much of her academic research has been focused on psychiatric treatment for depression. And as a town councilor, Jeeva will work with local clinics to expand in- and outpatient care and to make residents more aware of the resources available to them. Mandating access to resources for our town’s students, families, and workers will be a top priority for her.
