WHO IS JEEVA?
Young people don't often run for elected office. When they do, it's because they have a love and a passion for their community. After graduating with her Associate's Degree at 18, Jeeva is currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering and computer science from the Colorado School of Mines, and is running for town council to continue a life of service.
LEADERSHIP
While helping her sister recover from her struggle with mental illness, Jeeva served as one of the youngest paid staffers at the Colorado state capitol, where she worked alongside Rep. Sullivan to see common-sense gun violence prevention passed into law.
Jeeva has also been recognized for her talents on the international level, having recently been nominated for UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Diana Award and the United Nations' 2021 Global Teen Leader Award.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
She won the President’s Volunteer Service Award for her work in developing peer-to-peer student enrichment programs for underprivileged students in downtown Denver. And last Spring, at the height of the pandemic, Jeeva worked with statewide community organizations to distribute COVID-19 relief stipends for families in need.
She's also won multiple awards for her scientific research on mental health in schools, where she used electroencephalography (EEG) waves monitoring behavioral and educational factors to conduct groundbreaking research on childhood trauma in teenagers.
Even at a young age, Jeeva's shown that she has the talents, experience, and dedication to represent Parker well.
